Hi All,

We have a requirement to combine the multiple data models in Framework Manager and publish into a single Package and create the Drill Up and drill Down Reports in Cognos report Studio.
One Date Model is Relational Model and the other One is TM1 Cube.
I have managed to import both Relational Datasource (based on SSAS) and the TM1 cube and published into a package.
I could see the tables under each data Model in report Studio.
The requirement is they want me to build a P&L Report (out of TM1 Cube)and from there drill down into substantiated data that should come from relational Model.
Is it possible to join the links between relational Model and TM1 Cube in Framework Manager?
If Yes, Please let me know the procedure to achieve it without degrading the report performance much.
or Should I do it in the report Studio? Please advise

Thanks

Regards
Geetha

Hi,

You can't join OLAP sources to relational sources in Framework Manager like this. I think what you are actually looking for is the ability to drill through from reports based on TM1 to reports based on MS SQL Server? This doesn't require both to be in the same package (although they can be if you wish). You simply need to define drill through definitions from your source reports to your target reports.

Oh, and I'm assuming you mean relational SQL Server, not SQL Server Analysis Services (which is an OLAP data source also, not relational)?

Cheers!

MF.
