This is probably a silly question, but I appreciate any help that you can offer.

I have just upgraded our Cognos servers from 10.2.1 FP3 to 10.2.2 FP3.  Everything is done and working.  The install included Framework Manager and Transformer.

Now, however, I want to upgrade the version of  Framework Manager that I have installed on my Windows 7 machine, but cannot find the program listed to uninstall.  I tried to install over it and as expected the installation told me that I already had a version installed.  When I access Control Panel -> Programs and Features ....I cannot see Framework Manager to perform an uninstall.  I looked in the installation directory and can see the FM application, but no uninstall program.

How do I uninstall Framework Manager from my workstation?

When I did a start all programs, I found the uninstall listed there even though I did not see it from control panel.

Thanks

Thank-you in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Hi Penny,

Yes - you found it. When you install Cognos (server or client components), they do not appear in the installed programs list you can get to from Control Panel. There is an Uninstall shortcut in the Start menu for each instance. Several people I know have fallen foul of this - they decided to "mess" with the shortcuts in the start menu, and ended up with no obvious way of uninstalling later on (since they deleted the Uninstall shortcuts).

Just a quirk of the way IBM have designed things, I think :)
