Excel 2002 and 2007 report format issue

I am working on the report having three pages.I renamed the pages according to user requirement but after running it in excel format , it automatically gives numbers appended to the report page name.

What version of Cognos BI are you using? If you're using a version prior to 10.2.2, then this is just what it does. For 10.2.2 IBM added a way of suppressing the automatically generated numbers:
