SOAP Data Source?

Hello,

I'm trying to identify if it's possible to make a connection to Marketo, which has a SOAP Web Service Endpoint.  I've seen some references to Cognos Mashup and Cognos Virtual View Manager, or setting up an ODBC source with the SOAP Endpoint (using proprietary licenses), but I don't have access to those.

Has anyone been successful using a SOAP data source, or made a connection using some other means?  Setting up some kind of SSIS package isn't out of the question I don't think.

Regards,
Nicholas

I have never tried connecting to SOAP in an FM package. But I think there might be performance implications. A better solution might be to ETL the data into a traditional database and point the package there. Just my thoughts about it.

Yes, that's the avenue I was thinking as well with creation of SSIS packages. They could load the data to a standard SQL database I have full access to.  Unfortunately that means there is more to maintain from my end and duplication of data in two databases (granted I don't have full access to one).
