Hi All,

I have taken a backup of the existing Cognos 10 Reports in Prod and updated with new Report Requirements by coping to clipboard and opening from Clipboard from Prod to Dev environments.
Updated the reports in Dev and completed UAT as well.
Now trying to copy the updated reports from Dev to Prod by the same process (coping to clipboard and opening from Clipboard ) and saved at the current existing Prod reports.

Also the current existing Prod reports has some schedules assigned to those reports(some daily, some Weekly and few Monthly).
My question: Is it possible to retain the schedules as it is without disturbing , even after updating the reports by coping to clipboard and opening from Clipboard.
Please advise me whether I have to let the users know to reaasign the schedule as I have updated the reports?

Thanks for your time
Regards
Geetha

Hi,

why not go with standard Cognos deployment process ?  You will get option to include schedules through standard option.

If you are migrating reports with copying and opening from clipboard then you have to do one report at a time and lot of efforts involved. I personally use this option if I want to check some single report which is working fine in dev/UAT and not working in production.

Check below link to get idea of import export option in Cognos.

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21382301

Check Below link what are all the things you can include while migrating the object.

Note: Please be careful with the option of importing data sources. If you select this option your all data sources will be included in import and your production data sources might get affected. So make sure you do not select "include data source option" by any chance.

Thanks
