Hi Gurus!

I have got a different requirement from my client. We need to show some text that is rotated 90 degrees anti clockwise in one column, which should be added on the left side of the list report.

For eg: we have a list report with region, state and sales columns. We need to show one more column which contains 'Sales summary' on the left side of the report. For that I have just taken 2c,1r table. Added list in the second table cell, and added text item in the first cell.I do not have any problem till here. The challenge is, we need to rotate the text item 90 degrees anti clockwise.

Added the attachment here for reference. Please let me know if you have any ideas for doing this and let me know if any details required from my side.

Lynn

You can set the direction & justification property to "Top to bottom, right to left" which rotates it clockwise. I don't think there is a way to rotate it the counter-clockwise. This works for HTML and Excel 2007 output, but not for PDF.

Thanks Lynn for the reply. I have already set that property for the time being. But I need it in counter clock-wise, and I have not found any other property to do that. Adding to that, we need to work it in excel format.

One more question here, Can we reduce the width of the column / text item. When I set 'width:10px' , the column size is not reducing when exporting to excel. But I am able to increase the width of the column. I assume we cannot reduce the width of the column below the default excel cell size.

I don't know of a way to flip it the other way. I can't get the column size to reduce when exporting to excel so I tend to think that's the best you can do out-of-the-box.
