Cognos 10.2 issues with Progress11

Hi,

Anyone using cognos10.2 with progress 11 database. if you are using, do you have any issues with this combination. please share your experience on this.

Hi,

From the Supported Environments page, it looks like connection to Progress 10.1c  is supported, but there's no mention of 11.

I don't use Progress, sadly, so I can't comment from personal experience.

Hi MFGF,

thanks for reply. i checked the supported s/w list. but my client wants to use progress11 with cognos10.2.2. because of this combination, we are getting issues, while running the metadata wizard (if any table contains underscores(_)) in framework manager.
so i need to check with others,if anyone using progress11.

Hi,

What would you say if your client wanted to use C-ISAM as a data source with Cognos 10.2.2? You'd look at the Supported Environments page, find it isn't supported, and go back to your client and tell them so, probably. It's no different here - your client is asking to use a data source that Cognos doesn't support. You can hardly be surprised when you get errors.
