Hello

This might be a no brainer but i am working on cognos 10.2 and our instance is shared with other teams in my org, i have a report that everyone accross the org can view but only my team should edit, a user from another team with the authors role  can also edit and save this report, can anyone advise the best option to stop them from accessing but not editing the report?

I have tried, limiting permission on package to only my groups but has not helped

Thanks

Set the permissions on the report so that only you have write permission (ie give everyone else Traverse, Read and Execute only).

Cheers!

Thanks MF, the other author can still open my report using report studio but no changes can be saved now.

Yes - exactly. You can't stop someone with Report Studio from opening the report (if they can see it in the first place) but you can prevent them from saving their changes over the original.
