Problem with Toggle Button Data Bar filter in chart

Hi,

I have a problem filtering by month data in chart.

I insert a Toggle Button Data Bar, appear 12 buttons, 1 per month.

When I run the report, the chart is only filteres by minor month, if I select month 2, the chart is filtered by month 2, but if I push month 1 (month 1 and 2 are selected), the chart only filter by month 1.

Can you help me?

First, can you clarify what your goal is.
Do you want to just filter your chart by single value month only or could filter with multiple months?
Will a standard value prompt wont suffice for detail filter?

It looks like your attachment is showing market share information for identifiable companies and service offerings. You should not divulge real information on a public forum. Even if the figures are not accurate they indicate a method of competitive analysis. I doubt that your client or employer will be pleased that you are openly sharing this.

I´d like filter the chart by multiple month, all that are checked.

I can do it with standard prompt, but with toggle button data bar is more quickly and more interactive.  With this only re-execute somo selected charts. If i use standard prompts, all report are loaded when I change the months selected.

Hi,

A Data Toggle Button Bar is technology only for use in Active Reports - is this report an Active Report?

If so, you're not going to be able to use a multi-select control (data toggle button bar) to filter a chart. You can do it with a visualization but not with a chart. For an explanation of why, see the post below:

Then, there is no way to make it with Active Report.  If I need chart with multivalue filter, I only can do it with standard prompts?

Ok, so it's an Active Report? Yes, there is a way - but you need to use a visualization rather than a chart. Did you read the link I posted above? What version of Cognos are you using?

Now, I insert a visualization with month, but I can´t connect the toggle button data bar to filter the visualization.  Only appear the option "selection" in connect wizard.

What kind of visualization? Can you replicate it using one of the sample packages and post up your report to show me what you're doing?
