Joins of Role playing Dimension

Hi All,
For a particular Role playing Dimension we have created 'Alias shortcuts' (4 in our case) in the Business Layer (Middle layer) and join each of these alias shorcuts with the fact table.

We tried creating the shortcuts for these alias shortcuts and exposed them in the Presentation layer along with shortcut of fact table. This is throwing Cross join error in the report. Hence we copy pasted the Alias Shortcuts (i.e., without creating shortcuts) of Role playing dimensions + shortcut of fact in presenatation layer. This eliminated the Cross join error but this seems to propogate the joins to Presentation layer and joins are shown at the top most Namespace. This is not approved by the Code Review team.

Instead of creating individual shortcuts, Ctrl+Click the fact table and all dimensions, role-playing or otherwise, and choose Create Star Schema Grouping. Then cut/paste this into your Presentation Layer.
