Hey all,

I am looking to turn on SSL in addition to having just a plain HTTP page. Both pages would be internal. Is this possible to do within one Cognos configuration? We are running Cognos 8.4 off of Windows Server 2008, on IIS7.

Does anyone have any tutorials on how to achieve this as well?

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

Go to the server that has IIS 7 installed and simply install a SSL certificate, this will do the job.
Here is a quick step by step guide on how to do this. No change is needed on the Cognos config side for version 8 but if you do upgrade to the latest you will get SSL options for internal packets...

Hey Yizi,

Thanks for the response. That seems simple enough. I will give it a shot.

We have been playing around with 10, so could I get a link to these SSL option configurations as well?

Thanks again!
Luke
