Cognos report error

HI Folks,

Some times I am getting following error while running

cognos reports.

RQP-DEF-0177  An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlPrepareWithOptions' status='-121'.


DPR-ERR-2082 An error has occurred. Please contact your administrator. The complete error has been logged by CAF with SecureErrorID:2015-08-03-09:06:20.826-#86

I am using Cognos 10.1,SQL Server,DMR modelling,Windows server.

everyone is getting same error at a time in my team.If we logout from Cognos and re login then cognos is working fine.We are getting this issue lot of times in a day.so can somebody help me on this issue.

I don't know what would be causing it, but it might be worth checking to see if something is happening on the server at that time. For example, are there any ETL processes that would lock the tables in your query? Does the error happen at the same sort of time each time? Have you got a DBA that can look into it for you?

HI Chris,

We are getting this issue randomly.We are not getting this error on same time.And also we have checked with DBA they said that there is nothing wrong from DB side. There are no ETL jobs are running in work hours they only run these jobs over the night.

Any other inputs? :(
