Weirdest Thing I've Ever Seen - Clicking On Data Source

Please refer to the attached screenshot.

Normally, clicking on the Data Source ellipsis there would allow me to select my data source before pasting in my SQL statements.
However, now upon clicking, a Report Properties box pops up. The Ok and Cancel buttons do absolutely nothing, and I have to X the box to get out.

The fact that this Report Properties prompt has nothing to do with Data Source completely confounds me. Has anyone ever stumbled across this?
PS: I'm on Firefox.

That indeed is weird! It's the pop-up you get when selecting File > Report Properties.

Helpdesk mode: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?". Does this also happen when you are using Internet Explorer?

Captain

It actually works fine on IE; but I'm just wondering why this would happen in Firefox, since I prefer FF to IE.

Cognos is compatible with IE,not with FF and Chrome..many features breaks in FF and Chrome

In Chrome I can connect to Cognos Connection, but I don't get the start menu to select query studio, report studio etc.

Well; just stick to IE!

After a recent patch IE won't open Active reports anymore, but Chrome will.
So I'm developing on IE and running the report on Chrome.

It's all a bit odd.

With reasonably recent releases of Cognos, Firefox is fully supported, and Chrome is supported for consumption but not authoring (hence no RS/QS). And of course IE is fully supported. We are on 10.2.1 and I regularly use both IE and Firefox without any real problems.

I am on Firefox v39.0 and the described function works just fine. I'd suggest the usual "close the browser and clear cache and cookies". Or at least delete the Cognos cookie (you can do this in FF).

If it still does not work, I'd open a support ticket so that if there is in fact a bug under certain circumstances, it has a chance of getting fixed.
