Define Custom Groups

In the new group name column, I enter 'Yes' and click the down arrow to put it into Custom Groups. I find the available values I want and click the arrow to put them into the Custom Group Values. What I am trying to do is a IF statement. If the values equal A, B, or C, then display 'Yes' and display 'No' for everything else. When I run the report, the value meet the criteria but "No' is displayed instead of 'Yes'. It seems like I have these backwards? Now I do not know or understand how the custom groups work.

Hi,
and what exactly is your question? If your requierement is to implement a "if-then-else" statement you should use a data item and use that function in order to do so. Did you have tried this?

I would note that if you are just learning how to use Cognos, I would not spend a lot of time in Query Studio as it is deprecated after 10.2.2.

bdbits is right, you should work with "Workspace Advanced" instead.
