Hi friends,

I have two types of crosstabs in my report sheet. Type-A has 2 crosstabs and similarly Type-B has another 2 cross tabs.

Now, I would like to have a value prompt and change between Type-A & Type-B. I do not want any calculations in the cross tab to change. I would only want the crosstabs to appear and disappear depending on the selection of the value prompt.

The value prompt should have the following two selections only: Type-A; Type-B. Thus making a required selection.

Could someone please help me with this request?

Thanks a lot.

Gyana

There are two approach : Using Style Variable ( Hiding the Crosstab) Or Render Variable (Rendering the Page)

Have you looked in the Report Studio User Guide?

Here's a link to it: http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/data/cognos/documentation/docs/en/10.2.2/ug_cr_rptstd.pdf

Take a look at the section entitled "Adding conditional rendering to a report" on page 386
