Cannot open contributor on front-end ibm cognos planning 10.1

Hi gurus,

Recently we migrated from cognos 8.4 to 10.1. When I was doing a stress-test, everything works fine. All applications are opening and working good. But, when I run the admin link the applications on the source suddenly did not open. We tried to look at the log file and it says:

"http-9300-9: Failed to open socket on 127.0.0.1 cognos planning"

Does anyone have encountered this problem before?.Any advice, suggestion are highly appreciated. Thanks.

Might be the firewall blocking the port - some default configs for Windows turns on Windows Firewall automatically and it blocks stuff.  This message points to localhost at port 9300 -- not sure if you meant your config to have localhost in your config, btw.

Thanks for the information. Also, I forgot to say that other applications not related to the admin link that I run is opening and is working fine. I wonder why applications related to it is not opening..?

Sorry to open this topic again..but we are still encountering this problem and have no idea on how to fix it. We tried to recreate the library but still no luck. Also tried to create a new application using the same library and fortunately the newly created app is working fine. The applications that were not opening in contributor were just migrated from ibm cognos planning 8.4...It was migrated successfully before and was opening fine but this issue suddenly begun...don't know why :-\. Does anyone have an idea why the applications are not opening?. Any advice, suggestion are highly appreciated.
