Hello,

I have a cognos scatter chart that is reporting the cost per hour for a fleet of trucks over the trucks useful life. See attachment. X axis is odometer reading, and y axis is cost per hour.

It has been requested to add a budget line for cost per hour. This is not a straight line budget, but a line where the cost per hour increases over time/odometer readings. This will enable the end user to compare the actual cost per hour against budget cost per hour at any point in time.

Does anyone know if and how this can be achieved?

Thanks in advance.
Shaun

I freely admit I do not know a lot about scatter charts, but am not sure I follow how you want this to look on the chart. Is it just a line derived from a calculation of cost and odometer? Could this be done as a trendline, perhaps?
