Hallo together,

As mentioned in the title I have a report with a prompt page for all our supplier which can be selected. The report contains a chart and a list.

Now my customer would like to have an automatically email delivery for each supplier based on this report.

Normally, If I had 10 suppliers, I would create report views for each supplier and send the output (e.g. PDF) with a scheduler on each report view to the suppliers.

But I have over 100 supplier. I'm not happy with creating over 100 views and scheduler.s

What is the best way to send all suppliers the report?

Maybe the following:
- Create a Job
- use Event Studio
- use Burst Option

I'm not familiar with the 3 options therefore I'm looking forward to hearing from you the ideas and possible solutions.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello piro299,
Bursting is the capability specifically for this need. Use one report and generate multiple outputs. You will need a mapping for the suppliers and their respective email addresses. This will then drive the Burst query which you will tie up with the main query. In the burst specification you can select recipient as "Email address entry" and point to the email address data item.

Sorry for the late answer.

I tested the burst Report but got an error " Cannot burst charts or crosstab reports. The Burst query is: qr_main."

See screenshot for more Details.

What do I have to do to run the burst Option with Chart and crosstab?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello piro299,
If your report has a multi-dimensional query container like a chart or a crosstab, you will have to put it INSIDE a single-dimensional container first, example a list. Then define a master-detail relationship between the list and the chart/crosstab. So, in short the supplier should be in the list report query, with a master detail relationship defined between the list query and the chart/crosstab query based on the supplier. Then burst setup the burst with the list.
If you can attach a simple report here that contains your chart/crosstab I can respond back with the changes.
