I will add visualizations to my production 10.2.1 install.

When i reinstall clean for 10.2.2 and add all the visualizations for 10.2.2, will i be ok?

I mean will my reports still work?

I suppose that 10.2.2 visualizations are a superset of 10.2.1

There are some new visualizations specifically written for 10.2.2 which allow properties to be modified - something 10.2.1 did not allow. The 10.2.2 viz list is not necessarily the same as the 10.2.1 list. It's fine for you to install the 10.2.1 visualizations in your instance of Cognos 10.2.2 to retain consistency.

Cheers!

Thanks for moving the post. I didn;t see the new subforum.

do you think it is likely to continue like this?

I mean between 10.2.2 and 10.2.xxx ?

If not i could wait for my prod setup to go to 10.2.2 as soon as FP1 rolls out....

I honestly don't know. IBM don't pre-announce their specific plans in advance. They provide roadmaps outlining future direction, but these are generally very high-level.

Really hate this from implementer point of view...A simple "we will make it work somehow" is not sufficient anymore...

I talked to them in person last week and i got the same:

We have been focusing a lot to our backend components , and we are now running our asses off , to make CWA competitive enough...

For sure they must take initiative against modern-bi-world (frontend)...

Thanks MF!
