Hi there,

I have installed Cognos BI developer trial 10.2.1 to make some tests. I would like to connect the Cognos mobile application for iPad to the server and execute some sample reports provided with Cognos.

To do this, I fill in the URL with the following URL : http://< server-IP >:19300/p2pd/m. The application reacts and shows a splahscreen with a spinning icon but stays locked (see attached file).

Is it the valid URL?
What's the procedure to follow on the iPad and / or server side to show the samples ?

Thanks in advance,
Renaud

Hi,

If you're using the iPad app, you enter the main BI URL (ie http://<server IP>:19300/p2pd/servlet/dispatch in your case) when connecting, not the mobile URL. The mobile URL is for browser access on a mobile device.

Having said that, I'm not sure whether the mobile server component is included in the 10.2.1 trial version of BI. If you can't get it to work using the main URL above, I'd guess you don't have mobile included in the trial.

Good luck!

MF.

Hi,

Sorry for my late reply but I had a lot of things to do.
I tried your URL in the Cognos Mobile app and it works.

Thanks for your help,
Renaud
