Yes:

1. Create a schedule as normal
2. Select the "Override the default report options" checkbox, then check the "Send the report to mobile recipients" option.
3. Click "Select the recipients" and choose the users/groups/roles to send to.

Hi,

It sounds like you have have a non-valid burst key set up? How has your bursting been defined?

My Burst Key is User ID(Login ID).

So you are not using CAMIDs as your burst key? I think that's your problem.

I bursted the reports successfully with Email ID as Burst Receipient.

Number of Users Bursted: 3

But Another issue is when I Scheduled the same bursted reports for three mobile users. Each mobile user is getting 3 report outputs, infact they have to get their own report.

Can I know how to achieve this?

Thanks

Bursting to email addresses is fine if you just wish to email reports, but if you need to do anything other than this (eg provide different versions for users when logging in to Cognos Connection or delivering different versions to mobile devices) you need to use CAMIDs instead of email addresses. Each user or group in Cognos has a unique CAMID - you can see this by going to the properties of the user or group and using the "View the search path, ID and URL" link.

You need to change your burst key to be the relevant CAMIDs you want to burst across.

Cheers!

Able to burst the reports using 'CAMID(::Anonymous)' but not able to push the reports to Cognos Mobile after Scheduling to users.

Current Scenerio:
Once a User Logs into Cognos Mobile, he will be viewing "MyReports". We want the Active reports to be pushed here.
Does CAMID(::Anonymous) will give unique search path & ID for a Specific user?

Hi,

CAMID(::Anonymous) is the CAMID of the Anonymous user in Cognos 10 (ie the user you are registered as if anonymous access is enabled and you don't log in). If your users are logging in via your authentication provider they will not have this CAMID - they will each have their own different user CAMIDs. They will also have CAMIDs for each group or role they are a member of too.

You need to burst to the relevant CAMIDs to be able to deliver content to the correct devices. Your problem currently is you are not :)

Understood  :).
Atlast able to burst the users and we are trying to automate this process, by taking relevant CAMID for each individual users.

Thanks

That's good - but I would recommend you perhaps look at putting your users into groups defined in the Cognos namespace, and bursting to the group CAMIDs instead of the user CAMIDs. That way, if someone leaves or moves role and a new person fills the position, all you need to do is to change the members of the relevant group in the Cognos namespace and the new person will automatically start to receive burst output. Using specific user CAMIDs in your report means you will need to edit the report each and every time the list of people changes :)

Cheers!

Nice. less Maintenance, We will check this option

srinu1253

The Active Report Size is around 10 MB for a single user.We Were able to do bursting successfully for 2-3 Users.
But when are trying to do this for 10 or more users, the reports are running for ever(not bursted).

Does the bursting have any size limitations.

Thanks
