when loading page data should be export to excel

hi all,
my senior when click the hyperlink the subreport open in excel format not HTMLformat
when onload the subreport open to excel export

note:when click the hyper link in main report that time only need export to excel


please anybody help me java script

Hi,

I'm not sure that I completely understand your question, but you can set the default output for a report to be excel...no need to use Javascript. Go to the properties for the report and select the Query tab. You can then override the default values and select Excel 2007 in the Format box.

query tab or query studio i can select.
if select report properties given query : i am see default values


please can give me steps
i am using version 10.2.1 and relational data base

Hi,

On the cognos connection, locate the report and go to set properties of the report. then go to the report tab and set the "default action" to "Run the Report".

below that check the "override default values" check box and then set the format to "Excel"

yours answer only work when run report

but i am using drillthrought method with passing parameter parent report child report

not working

but i am using javascript"<body  window.open ('YourNewPage.htm','_self',false)  onload= "javascript:gCognosViewer.getRV().viewReport('spreadsheetML')">"

drill given new window it working but extra page display,if remove new window same page working but i need new window excel
