View Report in PDF and Excel

Hi,
I am using cognos 10.2.1 and my report has a crosstab and a list shown below it.
To appear both in the same page while running the report, I have set
File -> Report Properties -> Page break by data container for interactive HTML ->YES

Now whenever my export my report to a PDF

My formatting in cross tab is broken and in the list..
Say I have 8 columns in my crosstab , first four column appears and in next page next 4 columns.

So what I did is I put the cross tab in a block and set an width like 30 cm and it now works fine.
It says Content is not clipped.
1 ) My doubt is if my data width increases then will it cut some data ?is the above approach right approach.

2 ) Also in my excel everything works fine, but there is no space between my crosstab and list eventhough I set margin.

1. Trying to fit data to a pdf is a black art at the best of times.
Your aproach is as good as any other.
if you find the report going onto two pages then you might need to reduce the font size or padding in the different lists or crosstabs.

2.
For excel if you want some space try adding a blank table row between the two items and give it a fixed height - use this instead of the margin.
It will look the same in PDF and HTML but should create additional cells in excel.
