Hi,

For testing puproses we have installed Cognos Planning 8.2 on Windows XP machine. Previously we have installed Cognos 8.2. As far as installation is concerned everything was OK.

Then we have published sample contributor application on Cognos Connection and tried to access this application. On server we can access this application and open e.list items. When we try to do this from client side (contributor web client components are downloaded, aldough not on every machine this was successful), the application opens successfully but we cannot access any e.list item. The error is attached.

We have also noticed: when there is no authentication source everything works fine. With S7 and NTLM error appears.

This error isn't shown in any of the log files that are generated within Cognos 8.2 and Planning 8.2.

We have also open the case on Cognos Support Site but without success for now.

Couple of random thoughts:

Have you turned off the anonymous access on cgi-bin virtual directory?

Did you add the web users  to the Planning Contributor Users group in the Cognos namespace?  By default, I don't think anyone is put into that group.  It may have worked serverside as your login might have been in Planning Administrators.

Yes, I have turned that option off. I have set single signon on Cognos Connection through Series 7 namespace.

I have also added some users to Planning Contributor Users Group. I think that the problem isnt in security since the users that has right can open desired contributor application. But when they try to open one of the e.list itmes error message appears.

Don't know what to do.
