Workspace Widget Comment

Hi,
Is there a way to restrict a user from adding comments to a widget in a workspace (Cognos 10.2.1)? The user currently has read, execute and traverse access to the workspace object.

Hello PlayCognos,
As far as I know, there is no way of hiding just the "comments" UI. You can, however, hide the whole widget toolbar, but that kind of defeats the purpose of workspaces as that toolbar also holds other options like switching the display format, color scheme etc.
If there is a way to hide it using some XML changes at the system level, I do not know about it, but lets wait and see what the experts here have to say :).

Hi Cognos810,
Thanks for your suggestion. Hiding the whole toolbar would have been a good option except it limits the user's capability to export the widget content to a spreadsheet (which is a requirement we need to have). I will be curious to see if some XML changes or some other option will make this possible.
