Avoid the extra root namespace in framework manager model - if possible, how?

I am modelling in Framework Manager on 10.2.1.

Is there is a way to either remove/or build a model without the extra 'namespace' at the top level of each model.  I can't seem to find reference as to how to do this.  I know you can create a model and then rename the top level namespace, but as far as I can tell you can't create another namespace at the root level.  Can anyone let me know if you can or cannot do this and if so, how?

For example, instead of:

Model Name
MainNamespace
           - Import Layer Namepsace
           - Business Layer Namespace
           - Presentation Layer Namespace

Model Name
Import Layer Namepsace
Business Layer Namespace
Presentation Layer Namespace

Thank-you.

You cannot do this as far as I know.

It does not really affect the user experience. You would just prefer it does it differently? Or are trying to accomplish something specific?

Just one less click each time I open up Source in Report Studio.

Actually I correct myself.  It doesn't appear to save me a click as I thought.  Also the root node doesn't appear in the lineage so I see it doesn't really matter.

Thanks for replying.

What you see displayed in the package tree is controlled by what you choose to include or exclude in the package when you define its contents. Your model might have ten nested levels of namespaces but if you select only objects within the lowest level namespace for inclusion, your package tree will not show the nine higher levels.
