Hello-
I have a very simple crosstab where I wish to show the unit cost of a part number in the side row area.  The unit cost is a fact.  The unit cost will display properly such as 2193.19 but I wish to be able to format it as currency, decimal pts etc like $2,193.  However, I only seem to be able to format this as a Text option in RS.  I've played with many properties in both FM and RS to no avail.  Again, this is a fact used in the row area that I wish to format.  THANK YOU!

select crosstab intersection, then got to ansistor button and select crosstab fact cell and then set the desired format.

In FM - I set the Cost as an Attribute (even though it is a number) along with my desired formatting of currency, decimal pts, etc.  (On a side note, I guess it does make some sense to have this as an attribute since it is a descriptive piece of info of our part number much like Description or Commodity.)

Then in RS, I select the item (which is a crosstab node member) and change the Source Type property from Member Caption (the default) to Data Item Value...and voila, RS happily displays the desired formatting of Cost (that I defined in FM) with Cost sitting in the side rows area.

"What you seek you shall find in properties, grasshopper"  bowing honorably.

Hi..I have provided the solution below.  But, can someone tell me how I designate an item as "SOLVED".  I see people doing that in other posts.  Sorry for being dumb.  Thank you.
