Hello all,

A Customer is running A-C links in Cognos Planning Analyst and the process is failing with the following error:

You have encountered an application error. Please accept our apologies.

I've looked at the PEL and there was a reference to an out of memory error as follows:

out of memory: PackNumbers[9]    'clen data dlen string blen'=.PackDoubleToCharBase64 data;dlen;(blen    $' ');blen; JCE Error Log: C:redacted\jceA1E9.tmp

The JCE file shows the same sort of message along with the eList items. Does anyone know why this is happening? There isn't a lot of information regarding this particular message online and IBM suggested installing a hot fix, however that hasn't appeared to solve it. Any input greatly received.

Thanks in advance!

Further to this....

Tests were done by increasing the Analyst Workspace size from 768mb to 1536mb but issues persisted. Since then I have come to find out that another Customer is experiencing the exact same issue and they also installed the same fix pack update to their environment. Seems that this may be related to the fix pack release rather than anything specifically environmental.

Hi Stuart,

This is in 10.1.1 FP3. It's been officially recognised as a defect by IBM and they're working on a bug fix.

Cheers,
Dev
