 Hi All,

I am getting this below error when viewing the report in excel 2007 data format.

RSV-RND-0166 - Crosstab or chart is not supported in the Excel 2007 Data output format.

Is there any work around to remove this option, view in excel 2007 format is working fine.

Thanks,
Nithya

No, crosstabs are not supported for Excel 2007 Data exports. It is really meant for list objects, kind of an alternative to CSV export.

Does the report contain a list also?

If so, you could possibly still get that part to export and set a render variable on the Chart/Crosstab so that it doesnt't get included in the export.

I'm not sure if that would be of any use though.

Most of our reports have crosstab, is there a way to hide this option?

I think the only way to currently remove the option is with a server wide change, so it will remove the option from all reports.

I'm unaware of a way to hide it on individual reports.

Not by individual report, true, but you can secure certain interface elements by groups and roles, if you wish.

The above article includes a link to the identifiers for the user interface elements.

There was a discussion on this subject at http://www.cognoise.com/index.php?topic=22462.0 where Grim posted the above links.

Note that this just shows/hides interface elements, and the functionality might be unmasked using techniques like parameterized URLs.

Hold CTRL key and run the report in excel 2007. Don't release the CTRL key until the report opens in excel.
