Cognos Business Insight Dashboard Questions.

Mostly I have been working Active Reports until now.
Recently, I tried getting hands on some business insight.

I am facing the below issues though, it would be great if someone could be of any help here.

1. I have created a download PDF button using JavaScript, but when I click on the that; the report gets open in Cognos Viewer which can be saved as PDF, but is there a way I can directly send it to Adobe reader ?

2. I have dragged  a list onto my dashboard page as it is directly sorted on one of the measures, the sort icon shows on the same which i don't want to show, is there any way to hide it ?
