CNC-SDS-0408 There are mail messages waiting to be sent

At my new job, the notifications had not been enabled in Cog Config for the development environment. After setting up the notifications and testing it successfully, when I try to email a report,  the status shows as "waiting" and the run history has the below message.

CNC-SDS-0408 There are mail messages waiting to be sent"

I have already checked the below and they are set correctly. Anyone had similar issues? We are on cognos 10.2

Is your notification store configured correctly? I have experience that error in the past and proper configuration of the notification store database was the culprit.

Hi Goitzy, thanks for responding!

The notification tab under "Cognos Configuration" is set up correctly and the test works successfully!

Try to increase the delivery service connections.

The connection to the notification store will come back successful but it has to point to the content store db .. any other db you may have issues

I am encountering the same issue. Weird thing is this seem to happen to jobs only.

The first few report will run and get emailed, then one report will not send(encounter this error) so the job cannot continue. The job just attempt to send the email each hour.

we were facing the same issue few days back, but when we started to diagnose the issue we realized that the password of the account that is used to connect the mail server has been changed. once we changed the password in the notification tab the reports with waiting status got delivered.
