Context Filter Not Passed in Drill Through

Hi All,

So we have a Workspace Advanced (WSA) cross tab with Products in Rows and Supplier Type in Columns.

We then put a Company in the Context filter and run the report in HTML.

Then right click on the figure and Go To - and then drill through to the target report via a drill through definition that has been set up for all 3 dimensions.

The only parameters that are passed are the ones in the body of the cross tab.

The Drill through ignores what is in the Context Filter.

Can anyone shed any light on what is going on here?

Surely this cannot be the expected behaviour.

We are on Cognos 10.2.1.1 and the reports are built using dimensional data.

Thanks,

Andy

I know, right? You'd think it would just be another parameter passed through, but nooo.

I love drill-through definition functionality, but support of context filters in general is poor when it comes to drilling to another report, and not just in WSA.

You may want to log a support ticket and ask for this as an enhancement. The more people complain about it, the more likely they are to do something about it in the next release.

will it work in package level drill through?
context filters and row variables placed interactively on my report passed to constrain results on the go to reports(Package Level Drill Through)

1. how would you determine what attributes the user will use ( do i need a condition hide/show each attribute on the package level drill through report?)
2. will i need to make a filter (promptmany) for each and every attribute?

  is this even possible?
