Change widget source

Is there a way to change a widget's "source" after it's added to a Workspace?

I need to create a dozen or so dashboards which have more or less the same content. I figured I'd create one, duplicate it a number of time and change the source for the widgets that need to be different but I can't find that option anywhere.
Is my only option to delete the unwanted ones and import the replacement? I'm afraid i'll screw up the page layout...

I don't think you can, sorry. You can see the source if you go to the properties of the widget and look on the Report tab, but it doesn't allow you to change it.
