Good morning Gurus,

I am new to hp vertica. I just want to ask if you have tried integrating hp vertica with ibm cognos?. We are using the ibm cognos report studio and integrated it with hp vertica. The report is throwing an error whenever I use a query calculation and whenever I add a filter.

Error:
UDA-QOS-0006 Error
UDA-SQL-O458 PREPARE failed because the query requires local processing of the data. The option to allow local processing has not been enabled.
UDA-SQL-0477 A literal value is not supported by the database. This operation requires local processing of the data.

This is just one of the errors thrown. I wonder if allowing local processing will solve the problem.
Any advice, suggestions, or ideas are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

Hi,

In Framework Manager, you need to select your data source for Vertica and change the Query Processing property to Limited Local (from Database Only)

Republish your package, and this should allow the local processing your reports require.

Cheers!
