Require java script to achieve expand/collapse feature in congos list or crossta

Hi All,

Say suppose, i have a crosstab report, in crosstab rows I am dragging and dropping a organization hierarchy, in measure I am dropping a measure named 'Task count'. User want to have expand/collapse functionality with aggregation each visible level by pressing on + or - symbol on organization hierarchy which is in crosstab rows. Can someone please help me with the java script, my data source is cube coming from SSAS. I am using congos 10.2.1 version.

Hi,

If the user has access to Cognos Workspace Advanced they can right-click on a member and from the Explore menu, choose "Expand Member". No javascript required. :)

Thanks for the reply, I think user will not have access to Cognos Workspace Advanced. But we wanted the functionality in Report studio and eventually move the report to Cognos Workspace rather than Cognos Advanced Workspace. Whereas, when I drag and drop Organization hierarchy in crosstab rows, I can see all the members with level differentiation by having the indentation in front of the text with the spaces in Report studio. Example below. When I open the same report in Cognos Advanced Workspace, the problem here is all the level members are expanded and displayed by default in crosstab rows, so expand and collapse feature will not work. As well as, I tried creating the new crosstab in Workpace Advanced, here the problem is, when we try to expand the members in crosstab row, report take longer time, which is not acceptable to users.
