In Cognos Workspace global area, can I hide and unhide a prompt based on tab sel

Hi All,

I have Cognos workspace with two tabs, where there is global area with three prompts for first tab. When I tab for the second tab, I wanted one extra prompt along with all the other three prompts. Is it achievable in Cognos Workpsace?

Hi,

The global area that expands out from the left is common to all tabs, so if you drop a filter into here, it will apply to all tabs. If you drop a filter onto the canvas of a selected tab, this filter is used by only that tab.

No. What's in the global area is global to all tabs. What you drag into it dictates what will be shown regardless of what tab you are on.

If you want an extra filter for a specific tab, just add it to the canvas on the tab in question.
