Here is a simple question. This last simple Q end up being not that simple.
I need to draw a single line and assign different color as a part of a Cognos Report

________________ in red   presents certain line graph information
________________ in blue presents certain line graph information

Since I'm developing a Sparkline (Micro Graph) the legend associated to the graph is showing for
every single line showing as a part of the Crosstab.

If I can draw a simple line and give it some test, I can establish only one Legend in
the header of the report.

Thank you so much for your time.

Hi,

I don't follow. If you use a spark line chart, you can turn off the property to display the legend - in fact I think it's off by default. All you need to do is to unlock your report, drag a chart into the row headers of the crosstab, choose a sparkline, populate it with the data you require (with the same data in the Series as you are using in your crosstab row headings), then add a master/detail relationship between the spark line and the crosstab based on this value.

Cheers!

I understand about turning the Legend off, but once I turn it off, I still need to show some sort of Legend for the Sparkline Report but showing it only one time per page. Attached shows the behavior of the Sparkline when the Legend is on.

So, on top of the Sparkline Graphics, I have a table with some text but all I need to do is to paint/draw a line for each of the % of and All Legends unless there is a way to tell it only to show the Sparkline graph's LEGEND Per Page or something like that.

Thank you for the quick response.

Just add an image to the report with the legend in it. I have done this a number of times :)

You're welcome! It kind of feels like cheating, but if it works... :)
