Event Studio not return all data

Hello,

I am trying use event studio to evaluate whether there were problems within an application, and then to send the details in an email.

The event condition in super simple: [process_code]='F'

There could be (in fact will be) multiple [process_code] = 'F'.  When run in Report Studio, this returns 225 rows.

in the email event that I am creating, I have put data elements into the body of the email in a table, and event studio sends out the data in the table in the body of the email.  However, it is only including 195 rows.

I am using the same FM package for both report studio and event studio, using the same criteria, but am getting different results.

I am not expecting someone to fix it, but some ideas for where to look would be great.

Thank you,

Gordon

Lynn

Is it possible that your event is set up to only detect new events? You could try resetting the event list (from actions menu) to see if you get all the rows you expect.

Thank you Lynn.  I didn't even think to look in the 'actions' menu.  Before I reset the events list, I did a 'count events' and it showed 225.  Exactly the right number.  I reset the events, and then recounted, and it still showed 225.

So, it seems that the events condition is evaluating properly, but not all of the data is being included in the body of my email.  Hmmm....  Any thoughts?  Anyone?

At least I know that the event is going to evaluate correctly, and if I attach the report, then it will have the correct data, but I would rather have the data in the body of the email.

Ok.  I figured it out.  The resultant count was fine, but when I added data to the email body Event Studio also added the same data elements to the Event Key, which is used to identify unique data in the FM package.

I deleted all extra data elements from the Event Key, leaving only the unique identifier, and everything began working as it should.  The email event sent the appropriate data in the body of the email, and the counts were all correct.
