Hello everyone,

Have a question, hope someone here can point me in the right direction....

Customer has a number of cube builds running via batch scheduled tasks. Some of the builds have run, however a few have failed. The errors seen in those cases run as follows:

Wed 18 Jun 2014 10:17:00   0   00000000   (TR3001) The IBM Cognos gateway is unable to connect to the IBM Cognos BI server. The server may be unavailable or the gateway may not be correctly configured. Try again or contact your administrator.
Wed 18 Jun 2014 10:17:00   2   00000000   (TR0116) Transformer can't open the file "<<filename>>".   [->OK]

I've checked the signon information in the PYJ files and have noticed that the ones that work don't have the domain pre-fixed to the user account. The failing ones are fully qualified (domain\username) or do not have any signon associated to it. However, according to IBM Technote 1404931, one of the possible causes is NOT having the domain pre-fixed to the signon details.

I'm going to test by removing the domain pre-fix and re-scheduling the failing tasks, in the meantime has anyone come across this issue before and can provide some pointers?

Many thanks,
Dev

Forgot to mention that the source files for these are Cognos reports.

seen same behavior in a newly installed 10.2.1 fixpack 3? iirc

one thing i can suggest is ensuring you have exactly the same version of patches/fixpacks everywhere.
in my case, portal (which was in 64 bit / different folders) was slightly ahead of the 32 bit transformer install (which did not have fix pack installed)

Thanks for the response. I amended the configuration so that the reference was to the user rather than domain/user. Saved and set the schedules and all is working fine now.

FYI, the environment was all patched to the same level across the board.
