What are you trying to do? Prompt button is a button. You have to click it to rerun the page. Hope it helps. :)

Hi ToriBurns,
When any one drags the prompt button, it looks like button only, nothing else. And i know that , to enable any button functionality , we must click it, otherwise how it will work.
In addition to this, Prompt button has 4 types, viz; cancel, next, back, finish. I know how to use these button types.

but when i want to use repormpt button , page looks like refreshing, but selected items remain same as it is, nothing happens.
so , tell me what i m missing

Thanks
Inam

Hi Inam,

repormpt button ?? Or is it reprompt button?.

If you want to set the value of prompts to initial value after the page refreshed, I don't have any idea on how to that. I hope you would be able to find the answer. :)

Cheers.
Tori

Hi Inam,

Where are you doing this - on a prompt page or on a report page? Setting the behaviour of your prompt button to Reprompt should simply submit whatever value or values have already been selected. What are you seeing?

I use the reprompt button when I am creating a cascading prompt and I might want to send more than one parameter value to a third prompt.

Hi ToriBurns,
Is there any button named as repormpt button, in report studio.
You shud understand the point. If you are not able to tell, how to  fix the issue, then why u wasting ur time.

Now u shud not point out short cut words like  shud, u,ur etc. u shud think that ,msg is conveyed to u or not. that's it.
I think u r not professional.

Thanks & Regards

Hi MF.,
I have taken "Country value prompt with single selection" and "City value prompt with multiple selection" in prompt page.
I want to refresh city which i have already selected , and now i want to select some other cities,; due to this i used reprompt button for refreshing the city data.
when i click reprompt button, page blinks, yet i dont see any effect.

I think that Cognoise is largely a very pleasant community where there are many nice people who share ideas and help each other. I believe Tori was trying to help and you responded inappropriately. Just because someone doesn't give you exactly what you are looking for doesn't give license to abuse their attempt.

I think it is Tori to whom you owe an apology. This isn't the first time you've been rude or taken "lightly this forum and its valuable and respected people".
