Folks,

We have a need to separate a large cube to smaller cubes and utilize them within the Report Author.
Presently, we have a report that utilizes a cube that is a combination all all 7 cubes. Although it's
doing a good job, we noticed a better Search Performance (Query/Report) when the cube was smaller
in size.

If anyone know a way to have these 7 cubes within the same Report Author Report, please let me know.
If you have a suggestion in using Cube Partitioning to generate the cubes, please let me know also.

Thank you so much for your time. :D

Hard to provide a recommendation without knowing what the data is and how it's used. That said you might be delving into private/secret data that should not be shared here. Anywho...

Have you thought about using DMR? Or perhaps this cube might be a good candidate for conversion to Dynamic Cube.

Just a couple quick thoughts.

Grim,
We tried DMR but it is slow due to the size. We ran a stat on how much faster the data access is between using one cube and multiple cubes and the result was tremendous. For one of the searches, when we used one whole cube, even with all the data slicing, etc, the result was 6 minutes different between. The cube division to a separate smaller cube (just to hold one state info. ) was much faster.

So we think if we can find a way of having these cubes separated, our access time will be much faster.

I like you suggestion about Dynamic Cube. I'll check on this. I'm thinking to go ahead and just setup a Dashboard and have
links available for 7 different Reports. Each reports will be based on it's special Cube.

We can't use Workspace in our account but do you if the Report Author provides any Dashboard functionality (Build in Dashboard)?

Thx so much?
