Dashboard toolbar - Excel, PDF Button etc

I am required to create a tool bar in my dashboard report, which will allow the user export the report to excel, PDF formats. I know we have by default these options in the tool bar provided by cognos. but as my report page has 2 divisions, both have separate toolbars. these tool bars should have buttons for EXCEl, PDF etc.

Anybody has any ideas/ suggestions on this, then please do let me know.

A colleague taught me this trick...

Create a drill-through definition to the same report which is running and change the output format to PDF/Excel.

Works good with images (like a big PDF button).
