Drill synchronisation across multiple elements

I am trying to do something pretty straight forward, or so I thought.   I am sure I saw someone else do this but I can't seem to do it.

I have a cross tab and 2 charts from the same data source.   When I drill down on a dimension it does it only in the one object and not all of them as I would like it to.

I know it synchronises when I include the CWA elements inside a standard Cognos wokspace, but I want it to do it in CWA?

Do I need to do something else for this to work ?
Happy to be pointed to a manual or webpage with details.  (everything I have seen so far jsut talks about drilling but not on multiple objects)

(my environment is Cognos 10.2.0  on a TM1 data source)

An extra bit of info    (as several people have read this post but nobody has replied yet).

What I am trying to do is get my crosstab and chart working off the same query.
Building it it CWA (the way I did) it seems to create Query1 and Query2 and they don't drill or filter together.   In report studio I can open the query in the LHS and drag in or type the correct query name or elements.

But how do I do this in CWA.   How do I use the same query (or avoid creating a 2nd one) when inside CWA.

I thought this was simple (and an oversight by me... the joys of self education)...

Someone please tell me if this is or is not possible in CWA directly.  THANKS

Lynn

I haven't found a way to control that behavior in CWA. It seems a new query gets created for each layout container. You can create a chart that references a copy of an existing query using the "Fill with data from:" option when creating the chart.

RS and CWA share the same XML specification so you can open the report in RS and re-point the chart to use the same query as the crosstab, as you know. The report will still work perfectly fine in CWA so these types of "tweaks" done in RS can effectively enhance work done by users in CWA. This was not the case olden days when using either Analysis Studio or Query Studio.
