Hello Cognos experts,

I am posting a request to help me overcome a continuous error in Cognos 10.2.1 Report Studio. Please find my technical environment below:

Technical Environment: Windows 7 64bit (Local Machine), VMware with SLES11SP2 (SuSE Linux 11 SP 2), DB2 10.5, Cognos 10.2.1 (Server Installed on VMware Linux and framework manager installed on local machine), Apache 2 web server.

I was so far successfully able to install and configure Cognos. Data source connection was successfully established and framework manager is perfectly publishing packages.

When i tried to open up the published package in report studio, it gives me a error which is as follow:

---------------------------------

Error:

XQE-CON-0007

XQE error encountered: DPR-ERR-2002 Unable to execute the request because there were no connections to the process available within the configured time limit.

----------------------------------------------

I have applied the follow solutions so far but it didn't yield any fruitful results.

1) I have tried deleting the cogstartup.xml and three key directories in /configuration dir but problem is not solved.
2) I made sure that local host is getting resolved properly (mapping onto 127.0.0.1)
3) I increased the Queue_Time_Limit for reporting services but in vain
4) I tried to copy db2jcc.jar into /bin64 (apart from cog_ins/webapps/p2pd/WEB-INF/lib) but it didn't solve the issue. I also tried to replace db2jcc.jar with db2jcc4.jar but in vain.

So far the above solutions haven't been really helpful in my case. Please shed some light over this issue. Thank you so much in advance for your time and effort.

I you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.

Hello all experts,

Any Help for me, please?

Thank you.

MFGF

Here's one thing to check:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21595001

How is your data source defined on your Cognos server? Are you using the DB2 native client or are you using pure JDBC? If JDBC, do you have the relevant license file for the JDBC from DB2Connect? Is it the correct driver for your SuSE Linux instance? Are there any other data sources you could try connecting to and testing? If none of them work, then it's likely an issue with cryptographic keys, but if other data sources work, it rules this out and points to an issue with your specific DB2 connectivity.

Cheers!

MF.
Meep!

@waqashamdani, I have the same error, how did you solve your "DPR-ERR-2002 Unable to execute the request" problem last time?

I am facing this issue as well, the link you offered doesn't have the right solution as it talks about a different reason for the error.

We are using Cognos delivered packaged with IBM Business Monitor. We are using JDBC, can you please tell me what should i do exactly.
