Rolodex Scrolling

I am new to Cognos, maybe about two months in the field. I was wondering if there was a way to use effects to make transitioning between different crosstabs. I know that you can use javascript but I wouldn't know where to start with that. Any help to be pointed in the right direction would be appreciated. The effect I am looking for is maybe scrolling like a rolodex or something similar. Any help is appreciated.
