Is there a way to roll up dimension, if there are duplicate string in cube datas

Hi All,

I have a cross tab Cognos 10.2.1 report against Cube datasource which is coming from SSAS, where in 'Process' dimension is there in rows and measure Shell Count is there. Where in 'Test' process is repeating six times for the Shell count measure. When I looked into the 'Process', the Process key, 'Test' member has unique six keys for each 'Test' member. But I am not using any key in the cross tab. How will I make sure that 'Test' should be rolled up for Shell count. Please find the Current output and expected output below. I tried taking measure in data item and setting the Rollup and Aggreation to Total, nothing is working out.


Current Output of Cross tab below:

Expected Output:

                    Shell Count

Test            6                                 

Can you guys help, me how to achieve the above expected output!!!

You may not  be using business keys in your crosstab but your cube does. the display you see is just the caption but since those captions have different keys they are not grouped together.

you can try to 'remove the dimensionality'... check it out here:

however it might affect the report's performance
