Hi,

I have Report Studio report that I am bursting.  It is successfully going to all salesreps listed.  The person in charge would like to see the saved report, but cannot see it.  When I run, I say save report.  They don't want to Save Report View, just save.  If I run without bursting, then the user can see it.  I need to schedule this report so it would run once per month.  I realize that if I made a copy of this report and ran it without bursting, then the person in charge could see the saved report, but the customer does not want that.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

AGM

agm are you running the report and saving the output, or are you bursting? If you are bursting does the boss want to see all the seprate burst reports that go out, or just one summary report?

Has the user all the necessary rights (e.g. read and traverse??)

I got the same question.

Is that possible.

Thanks in Advance!!

Hi,

The user wants to see each of the bursted reports separately.  I can see them, but the manager of the sales reps cannot.

Rocks

Is the manager or sales rep in your burst table?

If not then they will not be able to see the report outputs.  Only the people who the report was bursted to, will see them (if you are saving the reports as well as sending them out)

I am also running into this same exact problem, where I have a group who gets bursted reports, but I have a manager and VP that dont want to get the reports sent to them (i.e. include them in the burst tables), but they want to be able to go in and view the output versions.....

Anyone have any ideas on how to overcome this issue?

Hmm, I'm pretty sure with a bit of JAVA or C#, Cognos rights to bursted reports can be manipulated.
