Cognos 8.4: Receiving error when opening Analyst

Dear All,

Backgorund:  We installed Cognos we months back and hold for some internal reasons. Few days back our management informed to   perform test with new DB server.

When trying to test Analyst receiving error(2nd screenshot)&when open opening CAC receving error. (1st screenshot). now CAC is opening, but not added data stores.

Could u pls suggest to the next steps.

Analyst issue resolved (changed new server details  in FILESYS.INI ).

But still CAC issue is there (Not enough storage is available to complete this operation)

Pls help me onthis.

Hello

I have not seen this variant of the main form failed to initialise before.

I would be inclined to look at the database server to see if there is enough space.  The first time you open the CAC it prompts you to create planning tables.  Is there enough space for the content store or planning store to increase in size?  What is your database, oracle, SQL Server, DB2?

You may find more information in the planningerrorlog.csv file.

Content Store and Planning Store having 1GB freespace. Our Database is SQL Server.

Hi Honey,

Usually the message: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. is memory related.  If you haven't already, recycle all of the EP servers and then try again.  Also, what version of planning are you running?
