Hi
I have a requirement. I m creating two data sources from two database say oracle and db2. Importing the table from both the database.
When we test it, what sql is generated to retrieve the data,
One asked to me that what sql sql will u prefer , sql of oracle of db2.
Please justify it, i didnot get the point properly. and tell me the solution.

I can't follow what you are saying. What does "One asked to me that what sql sql will u prefer , sql of oracle of db2" mean?

You ought to be able to test your data successfully across mutliple data sources provided you have defined an appropriate relationship between relevant query subjects in each. A separate query will be generated and sent to each database then the results will be joined locally on the Cognos server to deliver the results. If you look at the generated SQL you should see two different native SQL queries but only one Cognos SQL query.

Cheers!
