I don't recall seeing any comparative performance stats from IBM. My guess would be it should provide equivalent performance if configured the same way on equally specced Windows and Linux servers.

I've also never done or seen any comparison using the same Hardware (cause lets face it, it's the hardware underneath that would make the most difference), but personally (and this is IMHO) I've found that Linux/Unix Cognos installs seem to be easier to work with and more stable. Mostly cause I can easily script stuff using native bash for a lot of the repetitive Cognos tasks (Specially Transformer stuff). But again this is a personal preference and opinion.

Both OS's can and will be stable with the proper "Supported" platforms/software, patches and Cognos updates.
